Plumbing & Heating Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a domestic and commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join Gillies Group, working across the Isle of Skye and the mainland.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems.
- Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions.
- Work on boilers, central heating systems, radiators, pipework, and general plumbing.
- Carry out associated works as required (additional training provided where necessary).
- Ensure all work complies with current safety regulations and industry standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 weekend per month for emergency repairs).
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in plumbing and heating installation, servicing, and repairs.
- SVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional attitude with good communication skills.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Gas Safe registration.
- Experience or qualifications in:
- Air Source & Heat Pumps
- Oil / OFTEC
- Solar Thermal
- Biomass
- Solar PV
